a day trip

morning
a blueberry bagel, nothing like home's,
a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, made just right.

afternoon--brooklyn and a flannel shirt.
gratin, walt whitman,
and a sunset.

evening is dinner, departure
missed trains, confused taxis
worth it in the end.
