EXAM

I was given a certain amount of time today and asked to please
write about imaginary shades of blue.
I wrote about hawks
with yellow talons and soft brown feathers
near rough cliffs.
And lambs, poor things.
Ravens, also, their
feathers look more like oil
or tar.
I wrote about sheets
of smooth white paper (in my head, and later,
they turned into sheets on a bed,
with bodies in between them).
