home

Your fingers find the familiar switch
(first try!)
and the light illuminates a room
whose furniture you've felt before.
Your nose knows
the detergents, soaps, scents and more.
Your feet walk the pathways easily,
the twists and turns, the stairs and
the steps
from point A to point B.
Your ears know the ticks,
the tocks, the truck that comes by
every day at 3.
Your tongue takes in your mother's cooking,
greedily,
after months of separation.
